Join our church family in a beautiful, historic sanctuary built in 1871. Established in 1817, First Baptist Church is located in the Avery Historic District in the heart of downtown Parkersburg.

We are a community of faith in a world of opportunity.

Sunday Worship – 10:30 a.m.
Our worship service follows a traditional format, rooted in Scripture, prayer, and reverence, while offering a warm blend of music. We sing classic hymns alongside meaningful contemporary worship songs, creating a space where all generations can connect and participate.

Sunday School – 9:30 a.m.
Classes for adults, youth, and children are held in small-group settings, allowing for personal connection, age-appropriate biblical teaching, and meaningful discussion of faith and life.

Prefer something more casual?
Join us in the Gathering Space at 10:00 a.m. for coffee, tea, juice, sweet treats, and friendly fellowship before worship.
